"It's class warfare and my class is winning." Warren Buffett

The value of any commodity, ... to the person who possesses it, and who means not to use or consume it himself, but to exchange it for other commodities, is equal to the quantity of labour which it enables him to purchase or command. Labour, therefore, is the real measure of the exchangeable value of all commodities. (Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations Book 1, chapter V.)

The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works....(Barack Obama)

Does this Sound Like Cuba Trusts Barack Obama?

McCain's recent red-baiting ads (suggesting a close tie between Obama and Cuba) are belied by the fact that Cuba trusts Obama no more than it trusts McCain or any would-be US president. Note the words below by Raul Castro yesterday, the President of Cuba:

[T]he president, a former defense minister, said the country was as prepared as ever for any invasion that might be planned by the United States.
We shall continue paying special attention to defense, regardless of the results of the next presidential elections in the United States,” he said.
